Position Summary: To participate in generating new distribution and products, cultivating existing partnerships and underwriting and managing new and renewal opportunities in the Voluntary Benefits market. Products and services include Limited Medical, Prescription Drug, Dental, Vision, Critical Illness, Accident and Disability. Target markets include small and large employer groups and homogenous association groups.


Key Qualifications:
• 7+ years experience in the Voluntary Worksite market as an underwriter or producer
• Experience as a project leader, including task management, delegating, and ability to work autonomously
• In depth knowledge of Critical Illness, Limited Medical, Accident, Disability, Dental, Vision and Prescription Drug
• Existing market relationships and the potential to move an existing portfolio of business
• Experience in developing employer group worksite distribution
• Knowledge of marketing conditions and competitors
• Experience in product development
• Experience in developing homogenous association group distribution
• Experience in manual and experience underwriting
• Knowledge of administration and compliance preferred
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• 4 year college degree preferred
• Microsoft Office software


Responsibilities:
• Creation and management of distribution
• Conduct risk analysis, pricing and underwriting on new and renewal programs
• Conduct market / competitive analysis
• Manage administrators, MGAs, agents, consultants and reinsurers of programs
• Manage programs with coordination of internal support staff, including actuarial, claims, compliance, licensing, legal and administration
• Track, review and monitor experience, report findings to management, and make recommendations as appropriate
• Coordinate and conduct marketing initiatives, due diligence, audits and conferences
• Spearhead product development and/or enhancements to expand portfolio
• Develop partnerships with carriers providing complimentary products and services for which Fairmont does not have a risk appetite
• Participate in creation and improvement of all underwriting models, underwriting and marketing guidelines, pricing, administrative and marketing tools
