Description:
The InterMune Vice President, Human Resources is a new role for the organization that will focus on Global Leadership and Development. Building on the InterMune foundation of Values and Business Strategy this position will partner with the HR and Leadership team to build and drive a culture of Leadership, Development and High Performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Organization Effectiveness:
Drives organizational design efforts to ensure the organization structure (e.g.. talent, workflow, reporting relationships, empowerment and authority) support the achievement of the business objectives
Help create a global focused organization that uses cultural differences to enhance organizational effectiveness, communications and results
Help balance and build scientific and commercial expertise and focus within the organization. Create appreciation and encouragement of all work that drives the organization successfully forward.
Integrate and build on InterMune’s values and strategic vision within all organizational development, design and communication programs
Design, develop and lead formulation of new and ongoing culture initiatives, including developing the supporting infrastructure (e.g., communications and education).
Manage employee engagement program to ensure alignment with organizational needs and objectives
Initiating working climate survey and propose specific action plan to sustain/improve general satisfaction in order to increase the performance of the Company
Talent Management and Development
Design a talent management and development integrated program that focuses on identifying, hiring and ongoing development of a high performance workforce that exhibits our values in every action
Create and manage an ongoing Leadership Program that identifies talent, assesses the development needs and creates opportunities to grow existing and future leadership capabilities
Manage and lead the succession planning process at all levels to ensure that all employees are being given the opportunity to develop to their full potential
Identify and support international assignments and/or projects between affiliates/HQ as unique professional development opportunity
Build a tool kit of internal and external training programs that support the needs of the organization and future strategy
Continually create opportunities to develop and grow capabilities of our employees
Coaching and Mentoring
Coach business leaders to develop their leadership skills
Create and facilitate team sessions for managers to build strong aligned high performing teams
Identify and provide certification support in personal and team assessment tools (i.e MBTI, Leonardo…) and make it become the Company standards
Work with managers to coach individuals on their teams
Build internal and external mentoring networks to support business needs
Mentor, partner and develop HR team
General
Develop strategic external partnerships – select, develop and evaluate talent management and leadership partners and vendors
Set and manage client expectations for services delivered
Measure success of talent management and learning programs
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or related work experience
Ten or more years of professional experience in Organizational Development within complex business environments
Experience in all facets of HR (staffing, business partner, compensation, benefits) a plus
Proven leadership, management and interpersonal skills
Experience within a growing commercial/sales organization
Ideally certified in State of the Art Individual/Team assessment international tools (i.e. MBTI, Certified Coach…)
Has been working in multicultural and international environment is a must; living/working experience abroad much appreciated
Business oriented individual who approaches his/her work with strategic solutions
Strong facilitation skills and ability to create/change direction on the fly
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Strong results and customer service orientation
Preference to work as part of a team
Role model with strong work ethic
