Position Details
Berkley Net Underwriters is currently looking for candidates for the position of Workers’ Compensation - Senior Underwriter. The candidate will build and manage a profitable multi-state workers’ compensation portfolio. Working with internal staff and a multi-tiered distribution system, candidate will assist with identifying opportunities and developing state strategies. BerkleyNet utilizes a state-of-the-art technology platform delivered via the internet, with a focus on small to mid-sized commercial risks.


Education & Experience
Candidates should have a Bachelors degree and 4-6 years insurance industry experience, preferably with a mono-line work comp carrier, or multi-lines carrier with significant workers’ compensation experience working across multiple states. Knowledge of state workers’ compensation rules and regulations and experience working with independent agents required. Proven history of building a profitable book of business, including proficiency in portfolio management and analytics needed. Prior experience with internet driven systems a plus. CPCU, ARM, or other industry designations preferred.
