The Motorists Insurance Group seeks a Workers’ Compensation Underwriting Consultant to join our underwriting team.
This position will:
support the Commercial Lines Division’s profitability and growth objectives for Workers' Compensation.
assist in the development of underwriting policy and underwriting guidelines
monitor compliance with guideline procedures and pricing.
identify and analyze the causes of unsatisfactory results and develop improvement plans.
monitor emerging trends and legislation in the workers' compensation underwriting arena
This position requires:
five plus years successful experience and development as a Commercial Lines Underwriter focusing on Workers' Compensation coverage, or comparable experience within the property and casualty insurance industry.
a bachelor’s degree with a major in insurance or risk management and/or CPCU designation (strongly desired)
excellent oral and written communication skills
strong attention to detail
